Philadelphia, PA - Hofstra won the doubles point, but Drexel won four of six singles flights to take a 4-3 victory over the Pride Sunday at the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Courts. The match was the last of the regular season for both teams.
Hofstra fell to 10-8 on the season, while Drexel is now 14-6.
Niko Vulinovich and
Coco Haener picked up a 6-3 win over Bernard Tefel and Sinan Orhon at No. 1 doubles, and
Marcus Smith and
Jan Leithner downed Balaji Lakshmanan and Sanil Jagtiani, 7-6 (5) at No. 2.
The Dragons won the first four completed singles flights before Leithner picked up a hard fought, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) victory over Jagtiani at No. 4 and Silvestri defeated Youssef Lahlou, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6.
