Easton, PA - Hofstra won all five contested singles flights and both contested doubles flights in a 6-1 victory over Lafayette Friday at Sullivan Courts. The Leopards lone point came by default as Hofstra dressed just five players for the match.
Coco Haener and
Marcus Smith defeated Daniel Kramer and John Yurconic at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, and
Nick Silvestri and
Jan Leithner downed Andrew Reed and Mason Keel by the same score at No. 2.
The Pride kept rolling in singles action as Leithner blanked Keel, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3. Smith had a 6-4, 6-1 win over Yurconic at No. 1 followed by Haener posting a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Kramer at No. 2. Silvestri got past Drew Rooks at No. 5, 6-3, 6-2, and
Santiago Haas picked up a 6-4, 7-5 win over Brandt Baldwin at No. 4.
Hofstra improved to 10-6 this season while Lafayette dropped to 4-11.
The Pride returns to action Saturday at Morgan State.
