Trey Rogers finished fourth to lead two Hofstra wrestlers to an eighth-place finish at the Black Knight Invitational at Army West Point Sunday.
Rogers recorded a 3-2 record at 184-pounds to place fourth. After a first round bye, he dropped a narrow 2-1 decision in the quarterfinals to Corey Hazel from Lock Haven. Rogers then rattled off three consecutive victories including a 5-2 decision over Buffalo's Cam Calderelli in the consolation semifinals. Rogers then dropped a 5-1 decision over Binghamton's Lou Deprez in the third-place match. Rogers is 6-7 on the season.

Dylan Ryder did not place and went 0-2 in the Invitational. He dropped a 12-5 decision to Army West Point's Trey Chalifoux in the quarterfinals and a 3-1 decision to Binghamton's Audrey Ashkar in the consolations. Ryder is 6-6 on the year.
Lock Haven won the Invitational with 136.5 points. Hofstra, with only two wrestlers, finished with 8.5 points.
The Pride team returns to action on Friday and Saturday, November 30 and December 1 at the Cliff Keen-Las Vegas Invitational at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
