WTEN: Ruffini Wins Consolation Bracket At Stony Brook Classic

Stony Brook, NY - Freshman Alejandra Ruffini posted an 8-1 win over Jennifer Gogova of LIU Brooklyn to win the B Singles Consolation championship as Hofstra completed play at the Stony Brook Classic Sunday.

Ruffini was Hofstra's lone competitor on Sunday, which featured championship matches in min draw singles and doubles, as well as the consolation singles brackets.

Hofstra will be back in action next weekend in the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
