Hempstead, N.Y. – Hofstra Softball has added Diego Ibarra to the staff as a volunteer assistant coach, Head Coach Larissa Anderson announced Tuesday.
 
Ibarra has experience in both baseball and softball, most recently serving as the junior varisty baseball coach at St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey. Previously, he had spent nearly four years as the head junior varsity softball coach at Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township, New Jersey, while also working as the Director of Player Development and head softball coach with the 18U travel team at Akadema Elite Softball.
 
With Akadema Elite Softball, Ibarra was responsible for developing players and coaches, while also spearheading the team's social media campaigns.
 
In addition, Ibarra owns D1 MGMT, a design and marketing company in Emerson, New Jersey. The company offers assistance to small business, non-profits and educational institutions.
 
Ibarra graduated from Fairfield in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in marketing and management.
