Apsel was the CAA Pitcher of the Week after not allowing a single run in a 3-0 weekend against North Carolina A&T. She recorded 23 total strikeouts, including back-to-back 10 strikeout outings in Saturday's and Sunday's wins, and she allowed only 10 hits and a combined batting average of .169.
