Hempstead, N.Y. – Monday marked a day of multiple awards for junior forward Leah Galton, who was named the GoHofstra Student-Athlete of the Week and the Big Apple Soccer Women's College Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Galton recorded her second consecutive hat trick for the Pride in a 3-0 win versus Towson on Sunday in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship quarterfinals at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. Galton won the Big Apple Soccer award last week when she netted her first career hat trick in Hofstra's 4-2 win over Delaware in the regular season finale.

With six goals in her last two games, Galton helped the third-seeded Pride advance to the semifinals against second-seeded James Madison on Friday at 3 p.m. on Northeastern's field.

In the postseason opener, Galton attempted eight shots. That figure matched the entire Towson output. Galton has a career-high 16 goals, which moved her one ahead of Scolarici for the CAA lead. It also placed Galton in a tie for ninth in NCAA Division I in the latest rankings released on Nov. 3.

With 16 goals, Galton has the third-highest single-season total in program history. Scolarici set the record with 18 in 2013.

Hofstra has won three games in a row and is unbeaten in its last seven (6-0-1). The team's last loss came to JMU on Oct. 3 at home with a 3-1 defeat. Both Hofstra and JMU were ranked in the top-10 of the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic latest poll that was released on Oct. 28.
