Hempstead, NY - Hofstra Field Hockey midfielder Cami Larsson has been voted the GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending September 23, in a vote by fans on the Hofstra Pride Athletics Twitter account (@HofstraPride).
The balloting took place over a 24-hour period through 10 a.m. Tuesday.  Larsson earned the honor over Stefan Mason from the men’s soccer team and Miri Taylor from the women’s soccer team.
Larsson, a sophomore from Cordoba, Argentina, tallied two goals during regulation time and then added two goals in the shootout session (non-countable) after overtime to lead the Pride to a 3-2 victory over the Bulldogs of Bryant in Providence, Rhode Island last Friday. It was the third consecutive victory for Hofstra. Larsson leads the Pride with four goals and nine points in eight games this season.
Larsson and the Hofstra Field Hockey team return to action this Sunday, September 29 when the Pride host the Bulldogs of Yale at the Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium. Game time is 2 p.m.
