Hofstra University Athletics

Daniel De Las Heras Garcia, a 2023 graduate of Adelphi University, is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach trainee with the Hofstra men's soccer team in 2025 and will work with the Pride's goalkeepers. De Las Heras served as a volunteer assistant at Adelphi in 2024. 

De Las Heras Garcia made 51 starts in goal during his four years on the Adelphi men's soccer squad between 2019 and 2022, finishing his career ranked among the school’s top five for wins (28) and saves (215).

He earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in mathematics in May 2023 and his graduate degree (also from Adelphi), magna cum laude, in applied mathematics and data science in May 2024. He currently works as a technology and data lead at Globall Associates. 

In addition to his coaching experience at his alma mater, De Las Heras Garcia has also worked with the Long Island Soccer Club and the Long Island Rough Riders. 

De Las Heras is a native of Madrid, Spain.
