#13 Steve Nisenson (Men’s Basketball)

Nisenson graduated in 1965 as Hofstra's all-time leading scorer with 2,222 career points in three seasons, and held the record for a remarkable 43 years before it was broken by Antoine Agudio. He averaged 26.8 points per game over his three years, while averaging over 25 points per game in each of his three seasons. He still holds Hofstra records for highest free throw percentage, as well as most free throws in a game, season and career.

In 1964, Nisenson helped Hofstra to a regional championship in the NCAA Small College Tournament, tallying 44 points in a double-overtime win over Catholic in the opening round. After the conclusion of his collegiate career, Nisenson was drafted by the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association.
