Richmond, VA - The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) has announced the schedule for the 2019 CAA Men's and Women's Lacrosse Games of the Week on the Lax Sports Network (LSN).
The CAA Game of the Week package will see a 38-percent increase in offerings from a year ago and will see 17 men's and five women's matches. In addition to the 22 regular-season contests, LSN will provide live coverage of both the CAA Men's and Women's Lacrosse Championships.
The CAA Men's Lacrosse Game of the Week will feature 11 non-conference matches and six conference games, with each team appearing a minimum of three times. Coverage will begin on Saturday, Feb. 9, when Towson hosts Baltimore rival Johns Hopkins at 12 p.m. ET. Including reigning CAA champion UMass, six teams that reached the 2018 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship will be featured in non-conference LSN games. Drexel will welcome 2018 national semifinalist Albany on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 12 p.m. ET, while Hofstra hosts Georgetown on Saturday, March 2, at 3 p.m. ET.
Additional non-conference games include UMass hosting Big Ten foe Ohio State on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. ET, and Delaware taking on Saint Joseph's on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. ET. Fairfield will host one of the newest Division I men's lacrosse programs, Utah, on Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. ET.
CAA conference matches on the men's side will begin on Saturday, March 30, when Hofstra travels to Towson for a 12 p.m. ET match on LSN.
The CAA Women's Lacrosse Game of the Week opens on Sunday, April 7, when defending national champion James Madison welcomes CAA foe Towson to Harrisonburg, Va. Friday, April 12, will see a CAA doubleheader, with Delaware travelling to William & Mary at 5 p.m. ET and Elon visiting Towson two hours later. James Madison is set to host Elon on Friday, April 19, and the final CAA Game of the Week will feature Hofstra and Drexel in Philadelphia on Saturday, April 27.
The 2019 CAA Men's Lacrosse Championship will run May 2-4, with the No. 1 seed hosting. The semifinals will be contested on Thursday, May 2, with the championship on Saturday, May 4.
James Madison will host the 2019 CAA Women's Lacrosse Championship, which will run May 3-5. The semifinals will be played on Friday, May 3, with the championship scheduled for Sunday, May 5.
