Freshman Sharyn-Nicole Thomas broke the program record in the women's shot put event on Saturday at the Vassar Spring Invite with her mark of 9.77m to place fourth. The record was previously a mark of 9.65m, also set by Thomas, at the Stony Brook Snowflake Classic in March.
