Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra volleyball team will host UNCW in the Pride's CAA opener this weekend as the team looks to continue its early season success.
The Pride and the Seahawks will battle on Friday at 5 p.m. before closing the series with a 3 p.m. match-up on Saturday.
Admission is free of charge for all home Hofstra volleyball matches.
Both contests will air on FloCollege and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on the HAWC. Links to both, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the volleyball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.
Hofstra extended its win streak to seven to start the 2025 campaign with a 3-0 week last week, including Sunday's four-set home win over Temple. The 7-0 start is only the fifth in program history (since 1982) and the first since the 2012 squad started the season with eight consecutive victories.
UNCW is 1-8 this season and most recently went 1-2 at the UNCW Hampton Inn University Invitational. The Seahawks defeated West Georgia in three sets, while dropping a five-set match to UNCG and a three-set contest to Charlotte.
Hofstra is 35-7 all-time against UNCW. The Pride has won nine straight against the Seahawks dating back to the 2018 season. The teams first met when Hofstra joined the CAA in 2001.
