A forward/midfielder, she totaled 48 points on 18 goals and 12 assists during her tenure and helped lead Hofstra to three Colonial Athletic Association Championship appearances.
Jantzen was an STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Third Team All-American in 2004 and 2005, and was a three-time NFHCA All-Mid-East Region honoree. She earned All-CAA First Team honors in 2004 and 2005, and was selected to the All-CAA Second Team in 2006. Jantzen represented Hofstra on the 2006 NFHCA Division I Senior All-Star Team, and was named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad in 2003, 2004, and 2005.
As a freshman in 2003, Jantzen scored three goals and added two assists for eight points. Two of her goals were game-winners as she helped the Pride to a 12-win season. Jantzen had a breakout season in 2004, scoring 10 goals to lead the team and rank eighth in the CAA. Hofstra would qualify for the CAA Championship that season and post 13 wins with Jantzen earning All-American and All-CAA accolades. She turned in another All-America season in 2005 with four goals and four assists, again leading the Pride back to the CAA Championship. Jantzen would help the Pride back to the CAA Championship once again in 2006, tallying one goal and six assists in a third consecutive 13-victory campaign.
During her Hofstra tenure, Jantzen was heavily involved in United States Field Hockey. She was a member of the 2004 and 2005 U.S. Field Hockey U21 National team and was on the 2006 U.S. National Elite Training Squad. Jantzen attended 2005 U.S. “A” Camp and was selected to the USFHA National Regionalization Program.
In 2022, Jantzen was named to the U.S. Women’s Over-35 roster for the World Masters Hockey World Cup and scored one goal to help the United States place fifth out of 12 teams.
Jantzen is married to former Hofstra wrestler Matthew Homenick, a 2005 graduate who wrestled under Hall of Fame Coach Tom Ryan. The couple has one son. Prior to starting their family, Jantzen co-founded a business called KEDIC Fashion Workshop, which was known as the experts of size inclusivity in the fashion space. The company supported many great brands and designers, and was featured in Oprah Magazine.
Jantzen graduated from Hofstra with degrees in history and social studies education.
