Hempstead, N.Y. – The Hofstra Softball team is ranked No. 25 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll, ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll and the Fastpitch News Poll, which were released Tuesday. The ranking marks Hofstra's first appearance in the national Top 25 since the final week of the 2013 season, when the Pride also checked in at No. 25.
The Pride (28-8, 12-0 CAA) has won its past 10 games and 18 of its last 19, while sitting atop the Colonial Athletic Association standings as the lone unbeaten team in conference play. Hofstra was also 26th in this week's edition of the RPI, ranking as high as 22nd this season.
The Pride takes on Wagner in a 3 p.m. doubleheader today at Bill Edwards Stadium.
