Hempstead, NY – For the safety of both teams, fans and the University community, the Hofstra University Department of Athletics announced today that Tuesday's men's lacrosse game against Cleveland State will not be played due to the impending snowstorm expected to hit the Long Island area early this week. 

Winter Storm Stella is expected to dump 12-18 inches of snow on Long Island and blizzard-like conditions are expected as well. 

There are no plans to reschedule the game at this time. 

Hofstra will now return to action on Saturday, March 18 when it hosts Providence at 3 p.m. from James M. Shuart Stadium. The game is part of a doubleheader with the Pride Women's Lacrosse team as they will host Quinnipiac at 12 p.m.
