MBB: Hofstra Heads South For Final Regular Season Road Trip

Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will conclude the regular season this week as the Pride head south for a pair of games.

The road trip gets started on Thursday night when Hofstra faces William & Mary at 7 p.m. from Kaplan Arena. The Pride will then face James Madison on Saturday at 12 p.m.

Following this week's two games, Hofstra will take part in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship. The four-day tournament will take place at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina from March 3-6.

There will be Pride Productions live video/audio of the game with links available on this page and via the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. The Pride Productions audio only broadcast can be heard via the portal, on the WRHU mobile app and on WRHU.org.

Hofstra (13-16, 5-11) is coming off a tough week that saw it drop a pair of close decisions to Charleston and UNCW, the two top teams in the conference standings.

The incredible emergence of sophomore Justin Wright-Foreman continues for Hofstra as the Queens, NY native scored 26 points in each of the Pride's two games last week to up his scoring average this season to 17.3 points per game. Junior Rokas Gustys also had a tremendous week for the Pride as he notched a pair of double-doubles and is now averaging 12.0 rebounds per game and 9.0 points per outing. Senior Deron Powers leads Hofstra in assists with 5.3 per contest.

William & Mary is 15-12 overall and 9-7 in league action. They have won two of their last three games, including an 85-64 victory over Delaware on Saturday. The Tribe are a perfect 12-0 at home this season, including 7-0 in CAA play. Daniel Dixon leads the team with 18.5 points per game, while Omar Prewitt is first on the team with 6.1 rebounds per game and second with 15.7 points per outing. David Cohn leads William & Mary with 4.6 assists per game.

Hofstra leads the all-time series with William & Mary, 17-12. The series began when Hofstra joined the conference starting with the 2001-02 season. The Tribe won this season's earlier matchup, 95-93, in overtime, but prior to that the Pride won all three match-ups in 2015-16.
