Hempstead, NY – We now move on to No. 7 in the #HofstraTop10, the best of 2014-15 in Hofstra University Athletics. The men's basketball team is #7 following a season in which they won 20 games and returned to postseason play with an appearance in the College Basketball Invitational.
There were many highlights for the Pride in 2014-15 season including earning those 20 victories and the postseason appearance.
It marked the 10th time in the program's Division I history that Hofstra has won at least 20 games and the postseason berth was the 11th in the Division I history (since 1972-73) for the Pride and the program's third appearance in the CBI (2009-10 and 2010-11).
The season also saw the renewal of the rivalry with Long Island rival Stony Brook and the game lived up to the hype as Hofstra escaped with a one-point win courtesy of a jumper from graduate guard
Dion Nesmith with 1.6 seconds left.
